Oil Tycoon! Big Oil Inc ending

Big Oil Inc is where Oil Tycoon! ends. The building, the confrontation with John Oil and the choice made there feed directly into both endings — this page covers the location itself.

What Big Oil Inc is

  • The antagonist corporation on the map — the "oil monopoly" Miguel's shop line tells you to destroy.
  • Its building is marked with a BIG OIL INC. sign and three smoking stacks.
  • One of the official screenshots shows it on fire — the game markets the moment.

The confrontation

John Oil is inside, and the scene plays out in dialogue before anything else:

"Turn around slowly. Whoa. Big Oil. Is that you? John Oil." "Throw this oil. All the other companies would die." "You can't blow up Big Oil."

Then the choice — described in full on the two ending pages:

After the choice

  • The confrontation resolves and your ending badge fires.
  • Miguel has a gift on your plot either way — droppers run 25% faster in a verified run.
  • The world stays open: secrets, the mine, fishing and the rebirth door all remain.

The company you have been selling to

Every unit your factory produces has gone somewhere. Big Oil Inc is the somewhere: the monopoly that buys what your plot makes, and the reason the story exists at all. The game spends its progression making the abstract concrete — by the time you reach it, "the market" has an office, a name and a face.

The confrontation without spoilers

What matters mechanically: it is a single choice with two answers, each with its own badge, and neither blocks the other. You cannot fail it, cannot lock yourself out, and cannot lose production over it. The pages for each outcome — Ending 1 and True Ending — give the step-by-step plus how to see both.

After the choice

The plot returns to normal either way: workers hold the line, the pit refills, and the shop is where you left it. What changes is what the game was about — with both badges held, Oil Tycoon! becomes the sandbox it always was underneath the story: balance, expand, chase the remaining badges, or beat your own time trial record. The story is short; the factory is the long game.

Why it is called a monopoly

Because your plot has one buyer. Nothing in Oil Tycoon! lets you sell elsewhere — every unit goes through the same channel, which is the story's point and also the mechanic's constraint: your income scales inside a system someone else owns, until the ending lets you decide what happens to the owner.
