This page explains what Oil Tycoon Wiki stores and what third parties can see when you visit.
What this site collects
The site is a set of static pages. There is no account system, no comment form and no newsletter, so there is nothing for you to sign up to and nothing stored about you on our side.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to count page views, referring sites and which guides are read most. It records the page you requested, a coarse region derived from your IP address, your browser and device type. We do not use it to build an advertising profile of you and we do not sell any data — there is no data to sell.
Advertising
Pages may display advertising served by third-party networks. Those networks may set their own cookies or similar identifiers as part of serving an ad. We do not pass them your email, your name or anything you have told us, because we never collect it in the first place. The ad slot on this site loads on desktop-sized screens only, so phones and tablets do not request it; ad blockers stop it entirely. You can limit ad personalisation in your browser or device settings, or through the ad network's own opt-out tools.
If you email us a correction, we keep the message for as long as it takes to verify and fix the page. We do not add addresses to any list and we do not share them.
External links
The site links to Steam, the developer's pages and other resources. Those destinations have their own privacy practices; this policy stops at the edge of our domain.
Cookies in plain terms
Two kinds: analytics cookies, which record that a page was visited and from which country, and none of the advertising identifiers described above when ads are not loaded. No login exists, so no session cookie is set, and clearing your cookies removes everything this site stored on your device.
